Flux Exhibtion 2025

Flux Exhibition 2025

For the Flux Exhibition 2025 I chose to return to the thematic pairing that had proved so visually and conceptually strong at previous exhibitions: Sunsets and Not People. This time, the presentation evolved. Each piece was produced as a large-scale limited edition framed print, giving the work greater physical presence and inviting viewers to immerse themselves more fully in the details, colours, and textures.

The Sunsets series remains a meditation on the transition between day and night, capturing moments of shifting light that can evoke both calm and anticipation. These works continue to be about more than just the sky. They are studies in colour, atmosphere, and the emotions stirred by endings that are also beginnings.

The Not People series, displayed alongside, offers a counterpoint in rhythm and subject. Human presence is felt but not directly shown, with figures blurred, abstracted, or reduced to movement and shape. This anonymity allows the viewer to step into the scene, to imagine their own story, and to focus on the shared experience of being in a place rather than on the identity of any one individual.

By scaling the work up and presenting it as limited edition framed prints, I wanted to give these themes a heightened impact, making them not just images to view but environments to enter. Flux provided the perfect platform for this shift in presentation, bringing together a contemporary audience ready to engage with bold, immersive, and original work.
